Peter Turk
Principal

Over the past 18 years, Peter Turk has had and fulfilled a variety of roles in the commodities industry including most recently: Vice President of Affiliated Services for Refco, at the time the largest non-banking Futures Commission Merchant worldwide; Vice President of Sales and Business Development, and registered Principal for Iowa Grain Company; and the early experiential years were spent in various operational positions with ADM Investor Services. Additionally, Pete was the Founder, Managing Partner and Principal of Prime Time Investments, a hedge and retail Introducing Broker. Pete also headed up business development and served as a Principal of E Hedger, an agricultural hedge Introducing Broker, specializing in grain marketing. He has served on the Board of Directors for the National Introducing Brokers Association (NIBA) for several terms. Pete is currently a registered floor broker at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and is a Managing Partner and Principal for Rice Dairy. He has a strong background in agricultural markets and a successful track record in operational improvement and new business development.


Brian Rice
Principal

Brian is a founder and owner of Atrium Brokerage Group LLC (ABG), and a 15 year veteran of the futures & options industry. He has been a member of Chicago Climate Exchange and Chicago Climate Futures Exchange since 2004, and a member of Chicago Mercantile Exchange since 2002. Brian has experience developing a boutique price risk management firm like ABG, at the age of 27 he founded Rice Dairy LLC to serve the emerging exchange-traded dairy commodity markets. Rice Dairy now dependably handles over 20% of the volume traded in the Dairy Complex at CME. Brian relies on his years of experience being commissioned by producers, commercial & industrial entities, money mangers, and independent traders to instill sound fundamentals among staff, and develop products for clients. Prior to starting Rice Dairy, Brian worked as a broker at Iowa Grain Company in the Chicago Board of Trade. During that time, he studied the inner workings of commodity markets, and the brokerage firms that service them.

Brian has a genuine passion for carbon markets:

  • Sits on the Trading & Market Operations Committee at CCX
  • Sits on a Carbon Committee for the Delta Institute
  • Rice Dairy has been a registered aggregator on CCX since 2006

Magnu Yee
Trading Assistant

Magnu Yee began interning at Rice Dairy during his final semester at DePaul University, where he earned his degree in Finance and Real Estate in June of 2007. He chose a career with Atrium/Rice Dairy to pursue his lifelong interest in markets. Magnu has been fascinated by numbers and capital markets (real estate, equity, commodity, currency, etc.) since childhood.

Since joining the company, Magnu has applied his concentration to gaining a deeper understanding of Dairy and Carbon markets. Among other things, he currently: assists with company order flow, assists hedge portfolio maintenance and strategy, and co-produces our daily Carbon report.
